Deck overview

This five-color Assassin tribal deck is helmed by Ezio Auditore da Firenze, who provides a unique alternate-win condition: dealing combat damage to a player with 10 or less life, then paying {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} to make that player lose the game. The deck leans heavily into the freerunning mechanic, allowing Assassin spells to be cast cheaply after combat damage, and packs a dense suite of damage doublers and triplers (Fiery Emancipation, Gratuitous Violence, Wolverine, Best There Is, Absorbing Man and Titania, Mjolnir, Hammer of Thor) to quickly reduce opponents' life totals. Recursion from Layla Hassan, Jacob Frye, Altair Ibn-La'Ahad, and Back in Town keeps the board populated. The primary path to victory is to chip away at life totals early, deploy a damage multiplier, then connect with Ezio for the instant kill.
