Deck overview

This deck leverages Jhoira of the Ghitu to bypass the steep mana costs of massive game-ending spells. By paying two generic mana, Jhoira suspends heavy threats like Darksteel Colossus, Time Stretch, Keeper of Secrets, and Sphinx of the Second Sun with four time counters. A dedicated suite of time-travel and time-counter manipulation cards such as Fury Charm, Timecrafting, Clockspinning, and Jhoira's Timebug speeds up the countdown, allowing these threats to emerge well ahead of their printed costs. When these spells cast from exile, paradox triggers from cards like Flaming Tyrannosaurus, Nalfeshnee, and Passionate Archaeologist deal heavy direct damage to opposing life totals. Six efficient counterspells protect the setup during key casting windows. While the deck lacks tutors and fast mana, its redundancy in big finishers and time accelerators reliably establishes overwhelming board presence in the mid-game.
