New Untitled Deck by SomeRando

Format: Commander

Commander: Sarulf, Realm Eater

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Sarulf, Realm Eater is a Golgari control deck that turns every opponent permanent that dies into +1/+1 counters on Sarulf, then exiles the board on your upkeep for the number of counters removed. You feed Sarulf with cheap instant removal (Abrupt Decay, Assassin's Trophy, Beast Within) and mass removal (Culling Ritual, Bane of Progress, Toxic Deluge) while counter doublers (Branching Evolution, Corpsejack Menace, Hardened Scales, Winding Constrictor) and trigger doublers (Chief of the Wilds, Drivnod) make the wipe scale quickly. Secondary wins come from midrange beatdown with Forgotten Ancient, Quilled Greatwurm and The Great Henge value. Sarulf is single-faced; the hidden engines are the counter/trigger doublers that actually set wipe size.
