Commander: Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel commands an Orzhov lifegain and aristocrat strategy designed to weaponize life totals into card advantage and lethal drain. The deck relies on incremental lifegain triggers from Soul Warden and Kambal, Consul of Allocation to buffer life totals before casting Niv-Mizzet to convert life directly into massive hand size. Primary win conditions center on infinite drain loops pairing Exquisite Blood with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Sanguine Bond, Enduring Tenacity, or Bloodthirsty Conqueror. Secondary paths utilize Bolas's Citadel alongside Aetherflux Reservoir to storm through the library, or massive mana from Crypt Ghast and Cabal Coffers to fuel lethal Debt to the Deathless and Exsanguinate casts.
