The Salty Sum - Kambal by Rudhiralaido

Format: Commander

Commander: Kambal, Consul of Allocation

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is an Orzhov enchantment-combo control deck built around Kambal, Consul of Allocation. Kambal taxes noncreature spells, drains opponents, and gains life - buying time while the deck assembles one of its several two-card kills. The primary plan is Sanguine Bond + Exquisite Blood, with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose serving as a redundant half of that loop. The rest of the 99 is a dense tutor package featuring Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Imperial Seal, Enlightened Tutor, Beseech the Mirror, and Academy Rector. Backup wins include Bloodchief Ascension + Mindcrank, Helm of Obedience with Leyline of the Void or Rest in Peace, and Bolas's Citadel + Sensei's Divining Top + Aetherflux Reservoir. The deck is comfortable grinding with hate bears, stax pieces, and life-payment draw engines before closing through a single loop.
