Deck overview

This Rakdos Dragon Tribal deck utilizes heavy mana acceleration, ritual velocity, and cost-reduction artifacts to deploy massive flying threats ahead of curve. Commanded by Smaug the Impenetrable, the deck capitalizes on an 8/7 indestructible, hasty commander that generates Treasure whenever it takes noncombat damage. Synergies with damage triggers such as Dragon Tempest, Terror of the Peaks, and Akoum Hellkite turn self-inflicted pings into explosive mana reserves. Meanwhile, damage amplifiers like City on Fire and Gratuitous Violence alongside extra combat enablers like Aggravated Assault and Hellkite Charger swiftly close out games. The deck maintains steady card replenishment through pieces like Dragon's Hoard, Smaug, Wicked Worm, and Wheel of Fortune. While light on instant-speed noncreature removal, the deck's sheer threat density, evasive power, and built-in resilience make it a lethal offensive force.
