Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Orzhov tempo and hatebear build commanded by Breena, the Demagogue. The primary strategy focuses on deploying low-mana, evasive creatures on the first two turns, followed immediately by casting Breena on Turn 3. By attacking opponents with the highest life totals, the deck draws two extra cards per turn and rapidly grows its attackers into massive threats with +1/+1 counters. Disruptive creatures like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, Hushbringer, and Deafening Silence slow opposing game plans and silence enter-the-battlefield abilities without interrupting Breena's attack triggers. An abundant suite of reactive protection spells, such as Selfless Spirit, Flare of Fortitude, and Boromir, Warden of the Tower, shields the aggressive board state from sweepers. The deck closes the game around Turn 7 through overwhelming combat damage, amplified by double strike and evasion finishers such as Akroma's Will and Duelist's Heritage.
