Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov combo list centered on Selenia, Dark Angel, utilizing her ability to pay 2 life at instant speed without restriction. By putting multiple bounce activations on the stack holding priority, the pilot can intentionally lower their life total to precise thresholds. The deck pairs this engine with dramatic win conditions such as Near-Death Experience, Repay in Kind, and Profane Transfusion, alongside burst life-gain outlets like Children of Korlis and Vizkopa Guildmage. While the deck possesses explosive turnarounds and game-ending reversals, it operates at a moderate pace due to a 35-land base and fair two-mana ramp. The interaction suite focuses on flexible permanent removal with light stack protection, relying on cards like Grand Abolisher and Angel's Grace to survive dangerous life totals. Its primary path to victory involves establishing an odd life total, resolving a must-answer payoff by Turn 6, and closing the game on Turn 7.
