Deck overview

This Esper control and midrange deck uses Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign to cheat expensive, odd-mana-value spells directly into play. The mana base and ramp package focus on deploying Yennett by turn 4 or 5. Topdeck manipulation tools like Sensei's Divining Top, Brainstorm, Aminatou, the Fateshifter, and Doom Whisperer ensure Yennett's attack triggers consistently hit high-impact odd payoffs. These bombs include Void Winnower for asymmetric spell and combat locks, Toxrill, the Corrosive for continuous creature suppression, and Breach the Multiverse for massive reanimation swings. While the deck generates steady card advantage and applies heavy board pressure, it lacks cheap countermagic and hexproof protection for its commander. It also features playful theft and subgame elements such as Master of Predicaments, Shared Fate, and Psychic Battle. Victory comes from overwhelming combat damage with large flyers, Eldrazi, and reanimated threats over several attack rotations, backed by targeted removal.
