Deck overview

This Rakdos Spellslinger deck uses Kuja, Genome Sorcerer to turn every noncreature spell into table-wide burn damage. In the early game, the deck accelerates with low-cost mana rocks and rituals, deploying Kuja alongside redundant pingers such as Coruscation Mage and Harmonic Prodigy. As spells resolve, Kuja generates Wizard tokens that trigger on every noncreature cast. Reaching four Wizards transforms Kuja into Trance Kuja, Fate Defied, which doubles all damage dealt by Wizards. The deck powers its explosive turns with card-advantage engines like Virtue of Courage, Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin, and Wheel of Fortune, while Birgi, God of Storytelling and Storm-Kiln Artist supply sustained mana. A critical storm turn on Turn 5 deals heavy damage and transforms the commander, setting up a decisive finish on Turn 6.
