Deck overview

Magar of the Magic Strings is the deck's engine and win condition. The primary plan is to bin Savage Beating, reanimate it as an unassuming 3/3 via Magar's activation, connect with it, and copy/cast Savage Beating repeatedly to loop extra combat steps for arbitrarily many 3-point hits. Secondary paths use the same face-down trick to copy game-swinging spells like Empty the Warrens, Tendrils of Agony, In Garruk's Wake, or Furygale Flocking, or simply cast them from hand behind a midrange reanimator package (Zombify, Pinnacle Monk, The Dawning Archaic). The deck is aggressive but linear; Magar must resolve and the key instant must survive in the graveyard.
