Birds by AnnoyedOrange

Format: Commander

Commander: Gwaihir, Greatest of the Eagles

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Gwaihir, Greatest of the Eagles is a mono-white lifegain-and-Bird-token commander. The primary plan is to gain 3 life each turn, trigger Gwaihir's end-step Bird creation, and win through flying combat, often using Akroma's Will as a finisher. Court of Grace and Chivalric Alliance provide extra bodies and card flow, while Heliod, Sun-Crowned plus Walking Ballista offers a compact two-card infinite-damage outlet secondary line. Approach of the Second Sun is a slower alternate win attempt, usually with Reprieve to help recast it. The commander is not the combo piece but accelerates both lifegain and board presence, so the deck remains functional if he is removed. There is no hidden commander; the deck is built around Gwaihir's repeatable token trigger.
