Commander: Tergrid, God of Fright // Tergrid's Lantern

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black resource-denial and theft strategy helmed by Tergrid, God of Fright. The primary game plan is to force opponents to sacrifice permanents and discard cards through symmetrical effects like Smallpox, Pox, and Braids, Cabal Minion, then use Tergrid's ability to steal the sacrificed or discarded cards directly onto your battlefield. The deck also runs a small discard-punisher package (Megrim, Liliana's Caress, Geth's Grimoire) and a compact infinite combo with Chain of Smog and Professor Onyx to close out games. Secondary win conditions include massive X-spells like Torment of Hailfire and Exsanguinate, or the one-sided board takeover from Rise of the Dark Realms. The deck aims to grind the table down, denying resources while accumulating value through Tergrid and Waste Not.
