Deck overview

This mono-black deck blends an aggressive Voltron strategy with classic Aristocrats engines, centered around Super Shredder. Because Super Shredder gains a +1/+1 counter whenever any permanent leaves the battlefield, every sacrificed creature, cracked Treasure token, fetchland, and destroyed opposing permanent directly accelerates its combat lethality. The deck establishes early board presence on Turn 2 with its commander, followed immediately by recurring token generators like Ophiomancer and sacrifice outlets such as Warren Soultrader. Edict engines like Grave Pact and Braids, Cabal Minion dismantle opposing creature boards while triggering massive counter growth on Shredder. Equipped with evasion and ward from Cultist of the Absolute or Swiftfoot Boots, Super Shredder rapidly eliminates opponents via lethal commander damage while Blood Artist and Ayara, First of Locthwain drain surviving life totals. Redundant reanimation and tutors ensure sustained resilience against removal.
