Deck overview

This mono-black control deck turns Phage the Untouchable into a lethal one-hit combat engine. Because Phage's enter-the-battlefield ability causes its controller to lose if not cast from hand, the list deploys a redundant suite of bypass enablers: Torpor Orb to suppress the trigger, Sundial of the Infinite to end the turn with the trigger on the stack, and Command Beacon, Campfire, or Netherborn Altar to put Phage directly into hand. Once deployed on Turn 5, Phage is granted unblockability and protection through equipment like Brotherhood Regalia, Whispersilk Cloak, and Lightning Greaves, systematically eliminating one player per turn. The deck controls the board with efficient removal spells such as Toxic Deluge, Snuff Out, and Withering Torment, while explosive mana acceleration from Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast fuels high-velocity draw engines like Necropotence and Stinging Study.
