Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Sultai Elf tribal deck built around Thranduil, the Elvenking, whose signature ability - gaining all activated abilities of Elf cards in your graveyard - turns the graveyard into a toolbox. The deck mills Elves into the bin (Midnight Tilling, Morcant's Eyes, Trystan, Callous Cultivator, Twilight Diviner) so the commander can tap for huge mana via Priest of Titania or Marwyn, the Nurturer, make tokens via Imperious Perfect, gain life via Wellwisher, or overrun via Ezuri, Renegade Leader. The primary win is a wide Elf token board - landfall tokens from Thranduil the Strategist and Thranduil, Sindarin Liege, plus Elvish Warmaster, Imperious Perfect, Wolverine Riders, and Elvish Promenade - pushed through with Ezuri's overrun or Elvish Champion's forestwalk. Secondary lines include High Perfect Morcant's -1/-1 counter + proliferate package and Trystan, Penitent Culler's drain. This is a grindy value engine that wins through combat inevitability rather than fast combos.
