SMAUG by Pactin

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Smaug the Impenetrable commands a Rakdos combo-damage engine that turns self-inflicted harm into catastrophic burst mana and lethal burn. The commander is an indestructible, flying 8/7 that generates a Treasure token for every point of noncombat damage dealt to it. The deck exploits this by targeting Smaug with high-damage sweepers and targeted burn like Blasphemous Act, Star of Extinction, and Cut Propulsion, immediately producing huge piles of Treasures. These artifacts fuel game-ending outlets including Crackle with Power, Revel in Riches, and aristocrat pings from Mirkwood Bats or Marionette Apprentice. Standalone infinite combos like Blazing Sunsteel on Barbed Servitor or Brash Taunter provide lethal redundancy without the commander.
