Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Izzet spellslinger storm and burn deck commanded by Vivi Ornitier. The strategy centers on assembling Vivi with a damage-based draw engine such as Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout. Because Vivi deals 1 damage to each opponent whenever you cast a noncreature spell, each cast draws 3 cards while growing Vivi's power. Vivi's activated ability converts that power into a burst of {U} and {R} mana, creating a self-fueling storm turn that churns through low-cost cantrips and 0-mana artifacts. Redundant pingers like Firebrand Archer, Coruscation Mage, and Guttersnipe amplify the damage output, eliminating the entire table in a single decisive Turn 4 turn. The deck is reinforced by an efficient interaction suite, free protection spells like Deflecting Swat, and an alternate infinite-mana win condition with Dualcaster Mage and Ghostly Flicker.
