Deck overview

This deck is a highly synergistic Golgari landfall and mill strategy helmed by Sm agol, Helpful Guide. The primary game plan revolves around repeatedly triggering "the Ring tempts you" mechanics to abuse Sm agol's ability, which steals lands from opponents' libraries while milling their other cards. By running a dense package of enablers, including nine copies of Nazg l, the deck rapidly accelerates its mana base using opponents' lands. This fuels devastating landfall payoffs like Scute Swarm, Iridescent Vinelasher, and Ob Nixilis, the Fallen. The deck wins through a combination of massive combat damage, passive drain from Syr Konrad, the Grim, or infinite combos utilizing Bloodchief Ascension or D nedain Rangers. It plays as a relentless value engine that turns the opponents' decks into its own personal ramp package.
