Deck overview

This deck is a Jund midrange strategy centered on -1/-1 counter synergies led by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The primary game plan develops mana in the early turns, deploys Auntie Ool on Turn 4, and follows up with mass counter distribution effects like Soul Snuffers and Carnifex Demon on Turn 5. These effects place counters across all creatures, triggering Auntie Ool to draw cards for your own creatures while draining life from opponents for each creature they control. Secondary engines like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Flourishing Defenses generate wide token armies, while Kulrath Knight locks down opposing creatures with counters. The deck continuously clears opposing boards, generates deep card advantage, and steadily drains opponents to close out the game around Turn 7. Its main strengths lie in creature attrition, card draw bursts, and redundancy, though it remains vulnerable to non-creature combo strategies and mass graveyard hate.
