Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Fire Lord Azula is a spells-matter commander who copies any spell cast while she is attacking and produces an extra pair of red mana from firebending. The deck's primary plan is to build a midgame copy chain: cast Azula, attack, then chain instants and sorceries with Thousand-Year Storm, Prismari, Reverberate, and Dual Strike while Storm-Kiln Artist and Firebrand Archer convert each cast into mana and damage. Secondary lines use firebending beaters such as Ozai and Avatar Roku with Dictate of the Twin Gods and Overwhelming Victory. The commander is important but not the only engine; the deck can storm off through backup copy pieces even if Azula is answered.
