Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Izzet spellslinger storm deck commanded by Vivi Ornitier. Vivi serves as both an escalating burn outlet and a mid-turn mana battery. The primary strategy revolves around attaching damage-trigger draw effects—such as Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout—to Vivi. Because Vivi deals 1 damage to each opponent whenever you cast a noncreature spell, each 1-mana cantrip draws three cards, creating an overwhelming card-advantage engine. As Vivi accumulates +1/+1 counters, activating its {0} ability generates large amounts of mana to sustain the chain. Secondary pingers like Guttersnipe, Fiery Inscription, and Coruscation Mage amplify the damage output, while Birgi, God of Storytelling and Storm-Kiln Artist ensure mana neutrality. The deck protects its combo turns using a lean suite of 0-to-1 mana counterspells and closes the game in a single explosive turn cycle.
