Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black attrition and life-drain strategy commanded by Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. The primary game plan revolves around deploying Sheoldred on curve to weaponize natural card draw, turning every draw step into a two-life swing per player. A dense suite of sacrifice outlets, card-draw spells, and discard effects fuels the engine while steadily grinding down opposing resources. High-impact finishers such as Bolas's Citadel, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Psychosis Crawler, and Wound Reflection compound this life loss into a lethal clock around Turn 8. The deck protects its commander using low-cost hexproof equipment and instant-speed reanimation spells, while maintaining a heavy creature removal package to disrupt aggressive opponents. Although it lacks stack interaction and artifact destruction, its robust card flow, life buffer, and redundant drain threats allow it to outlast opponents and steadily close out four-player games.
