Deck overview

This is an Izzet "transform-spellslinger" list. The Emperor of Palamecia acts as both a mana dork for noncreature spells and a snowballing counter engine: each noncreature spell cast for four or more mana adds a +1/+1 counter, and at three counters he flips into The Lord Master of Hell, whose Starfall trigger burns every opponent for the number of noncreature, nonland cards in the graveyard. The deck therefore spends the early game filtering and looting with Dreams of Laguna, Bellowing Crier, and Muse Seeker, interacting at instant speed, and casting spree/tier/kicker spells such as Phantom Interference, Metamorphic Blast, and Thunder Magic to stack the three counters quickly. Once flipped, the Lord Master attacks every turn while the graveyard grows, supplemented by direct burn and treasure generation from equipment. There are no infinite combos; the path to victory is repeated, table-wide Starfall.
