Deck overview

This mono-blue combo-control deck uses Patron of the Moon alongside land-untap permanents like Amulet of Vigor and Tiller Engine to generate infinite mana and landfall triggers. It controls the early board using efficient countermagic, free interaction like Thwart and Foil, and one-sided board wipes such as Engulf the Shore. By leveraging Moonfolk abilities that return lands to hand, the deck breaks parity on symmetric land bouncing and exploits cards like Mana Breach. Once Patron of the Moon enters alongside an untapper and a bounce land like Guildless Commons, it produces limitless mana to burn out the table with Sunscorched Desert, mill opponents with Altar of the Brood, or force lethal card draw using Blue Sun's Zenith. A strong backup engine using Retreat to Coralhelm and Walking Atlas ensures consistent combo lines even without the commander.
