Deck overview

This Dimir Zombie tribal deck is commanded by Grimgrin, Corpse-Born and focuses on aristocrat drain engines, mass reanimation, and infinite sacrifice loops. The deck accelerates through early mana rocks and self-mill, establishing card draw engines with Undead Augur, Midnight Reaper, and Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. By sacrificing recursive creatures like Gravecrawler and Zombie tokens, the deck maintains steady card advantage while keeping opposing boards clear through Dictate of Erebos and edict creatures. Its primary win condition resolves on Turn 6 via Rooftop Storm, combining with Grimgrin and Gravecrawler alongside payoffs such as Diregraf Captain, Plague Belcher, or The Meathook Massacre to drain the entire table in a single turn. Backup plans leverage mass graveyard recursion through Living Death or flying Zombie beatdowns using Hordewing Skaab and Undead Warchief.
