Deck overview

This four-color deck uses Jace, Multiverse Architect as a dedicated Polymorph engine in the command zone. By excluding all low-cost creature cards from the 99, the deck guarantees that every polymorph trigger hits a high-impact bomb such as Archon of Cruelty, Serra's Emissary, Archfiend of Despair, Memnarch, the Warden, or Nissa, Leyline Tamer. The early game focuses on deploying 2-CMC mana rocks and noncreature token generators such as Skrelv's Hive, Dreadhorde Invasion, and Staff of the Storyteller. On turn 4, Jace enters the battlefield and immediately activates his −3 loyalty ability targeting a token, placing an overwhelming threat onto the board. Backup mass-polymorph effects like Mass Polymorph and Synthetic Destiny allow the deck to flood the board with huge evasive threats, while white-based removal and sweepers keep opposing boards suppressed until flying damage closes the game.
