Deck overview

This Orzhov deck operates as a life-manipulation combo-control engine commanded by Lurrus of the Dream-Den. The deck controls the early game through efficient spot removal, board sweepers, and low-curve card advantage engines. Lurrus of the Dream-Den provides steady graveyard recursion by repeatedly replaying cheap utility permanents, sacrifice fodder, and artifacts like Wishclaw Talisman. The primary strategy revolves around manipulating the pilot's life total down to 1 using instant-speed life sinks such as Wall of Blood or Hex Parasite, then casting Repay in Kind to reduce every opponent's life total to 1 simultaneously. From there, a single death trigger from Zulaport Cutthroat or an unblocked attacker closes out the game on the spot. Alternate win conditions include storming through the library with Bolas's Citadel or drawing half the deck with Peer into the Abyss. The list features robust single-mana protection spells to safeguard its win turn against opposing disruption.
