dragons and dwarves

Format: Commander

Commander: Thorin, King of Durin's Folk

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Boros Dwarf tribal midrange deck helmed by Thorin, King of Durin's Folk. The core plan floods the board with legendary Dwarves and tokens, generating Treasure artifact tokens off ETBs to both ramp and pump the team via Thorin's anthem. Storied payoffs (Bifur, Melodic Rider, Thorin Oakenshield, Fili the Pathfinder, Kili the Resourceful) reward packing artifacts, legendaries, and Sagas, while a modest Equipment package and Dragon finishers (Smaug the Magnificent, Goldspan Dragon, Desert Were-Worm) provide reach. Wins come through go-wide combat, Dain of the Ancient Halls drain swings, and Treasure-scaled damage rather than combos. The deck plays as a synergistic battlecruiser that snowballs once Treasures and enduring story are online.
