Deck overview

This deck is a classic mono-black Zombie tribal strategy led by Ghoulcaller Gisa. The primary game plan develops an early curve of recurring Zombie creatures and ramp, casts Gisa on Turn 5, and activates her on Turn 6 by sacrificing high-power creatures to flood the board with 2/2 Zombie tokens. The deck amplifies these tokens through tribal anthems like Death Baron, Undead Warchief, and Liliana's Mastery, or drains life totals using aristocrats payoffs like Ayara, First of Locthwain, Vengeful Dead, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. While the deck benefits from resilient graveyard recursion and steady card draw through Undead Augur and Cryptbreaker, it lacks library tutors and instant-speed protection for its commander. Without haste enablers, Gisa is exposed for a full turn cycle before generating tokens, and the deck relies on multi-turn combat rotations to eliminate all three opponents, aiming to close games around Turn 9.
