Format: Commander

Commander: Lorehold, the Historian

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Boros spellslinger deck helmed by Lorehold, the Historian, built around cheap miracle casts, discard-value engines, and oversized instants and sorceries. The commander grants every instant and sorcery in hand miracle {2} and filters cards on each opponent's upkeep, turning high-CMC haymakers into efficient threats. Primary wins come from resolving Approach of the Second Sun twice, overwhelming combat via Rite of the Dragoncaller Dragons or Storm Herd, and burn from Guttersnipe, Longshot, Rebel Bowman, and Brallin, Skyshark Rider. Secondary lines include free-cast cascades off Creative Technique, Dance with Calamity, and Apex of Power, plus life-total manipulation into token swarms. Velomachus Lorehold in the 99 acts as a powerful backup attacker that free-casts spells on connect. The deck plays as a midrange spell pipeline that converts filtered draws into explosive turns rather than a tight combo shell.
