Deck overview

This is an Esper midrange-control deck built around Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. The plan is to tax and pillowfort the table, then cast a steady stream of noncreature spells (MV 3+) to ping all opponents for 2 and gain 2 life while Y'shtola's end-step clause refills the hand whenever anyone lost 4+ life. Primary wins are a hard lock of Solemnity + Decree of Silence, a large Exsanguinate, and attrition via Bloodchief Ascension, Kambal, Consul of Allocation, and Hullbreaker Horror. The deck plays draw-go with dense stack interaction, using life-drain triggers and value engines (Teferi, Hero of Dominaria, Emet-Selch of the Third Seat, Displacer Kitten) to pull ahead until a lock or X-spell closes the game. Y'shtola is the central damage/draw engine but the 99 still functions as a competent control shell without her.
