Deck overview

Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls leads a high-velocity Rakdos group slug engine engineered to weaponize baseline game actions against opponents. The deck deploys a dense array of low-cost punishers like Razorkin Needlehead, Ankh of Mishra, Orcish Bowmasters, and Kederekt Parasite to guarantee life loss on each opponent's turn. Once Valgavoth enters, this passive bleed converts into three +1/+1 counters and three extra cards per table rotation, generating immense card advantage and an evasive clock. Midgame development transitions into decisive damage multipliers such as Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, Archfiend of Despair, and Fiery Emancipation, which rapidly compress life totals and close out games by Turn 7. The strategy is reinforced by forced-combat tools like Disrupt Decorum and Kardur, Doomscourge alongside free interaction spells like Deadly Rollick and Deflecting Swat to protect the board state.
