Deck overview

This Rakdos deck is led by Ingris Stingerquill with Obosh, the Preypiercer as a companion. Because of Obosh, every nonland card in the deck has an odd mana value. The deck attacks the table through two complementary angles: aggressive group slug chip damage and an infinite life-drain combo. In the early game, the deck uses low-cost creatures and token generators to trigger Ingris's ping ability, steadily lowering opponent life totals while keeping up combat pressure. In the mid-game, it pivots into its definitive win condition: combining an opponent-damage-to-lifegain engine like Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror with a lifegain-to-damage payoff like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Sanguine Bond. Black tutors ensure reliable access to both halves of the combo, while burst ramp enables quick deployment. The odd-cost restriction removes 2-CMC ramp and protection staples, but high card redundancy and fast recovery keep the deck dangerous.
