Deck overview

This deck is a competitive mono-black turbo combo deck helmed by K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. The strategy centers on leveraging explosive fast mana and ritual spells to deploy K'rrik on Turn 1 or 2, immediately converting life totals into black mana to cast powerful tutors and card draw spells. The deck's primary win condition uses Buried Alive to put Necrotic Ooze, Asmodeus the Archfiend, and Skirge Familiar into the graveyard. When Necrotic Ooze is reanimated, it uses Asmodeus's ability to draw cards directly and Skirge Familiar's ability to produce mana, drawing the entire library and looping Gray Merchant of Asphodel with Chainer, Dementia Master to drain all opponents in a single turn. High-impact stax pieces like Opposition Agent and Dauthi Voidwalker disrupt opponents while Ad Nauseam and Peer into the Abyss provide resilient alternate storm routes.
