Deck overview

This mono-black deck is led by Ghoulcaller Gisa, focusing on Zombie tribal synergy, token generation, and aristocrat life drain. The primary plan develops mana through Swamps and mana rocks in the early turns, establishes efficient Zombie creatures, and deploys Gisa on turn 4 or 5. Once Gisa loses summoning sickness on turn 5, she sacrifices high-power creatures like Plague Belcher or Champion of the Perished to produce large swarms of 2/2 Zombie tokens. The deck turns this board into a critical must-answer threat by turn 6 using tribal lords such as Death Baron and Undead Warchief, or drain effects like Vengeful Dead and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. It closes the game around turn 8 across two combat rotations. While resilient against creature destruction through graveyard recursion like Victimize and Zombie Apocalypse, the deck lacks instant-speed commander protection, direct tutors, and artifact removal.
