Deck overview

This competitive Orzhov deck operates as a high-velocity turbo-combo strategy designed to resolve Bolas's Citadel as early as Turn 3 and close the game immediately. Powered by format-ceiling fast mana rocks and dark rituals, the deck rapidly accelerates into its centerpiece artifact or bargains it directly into play via Beseech the Mirror. Once Citadel resolves, looping Sensei's Divining Top alongside Aetherflux Reservoir draws the entire library, generates infinite lifegain, and lasers each opponent for 50 damage on the spot. To guarantee execution, the deck runs a dense suite of Silence effects like Grand Abolisher and Ranger-Captain of Eos to nullify opposing interaction. When the primary line is contested, Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel pairs with Sheoldred, the Apocalypse to convert lifegain into a secondary deck-drawing engine, while Opposition Agent and Drannith Magistrate slow opponents down.
