Format: Commander

Commander: Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer is the engine of a face-down tribal deck: the first face-down creature spell each turn costs {3} less, letting you dump free 2/2s while Kadena draws for each one. The primary plan is to build a wide board of morphs and manifested permanents, then turn them face up for value and finish with combat damage. Secondary paths use Etrata's free-cast ability, Emergent Ultimatum, and Bane of the Living as a one-sided wipe. Zimone, Mystery Unraveler, Vannifar, Evolved Enigma, and Etrata act as support engines; there is no true hidden commander. The deck is built entirely around Kadena's discount, so protecting her is essential.
