Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Gruul mid-range stompy strategy helmed by Bello, Bard of the Brambles. Bello turns non-Equipment artifacts and non-Aura enchantments with mana value 4 or greater into 4/4 indestructible, hasty Elementals that draw cards on combat damage during your turn. Supported by dense 1-2 CMC ramp, the deck curves smoothly into Bello on Turn 3 and immediately begins attacking with 4-drop value permanents on Turn 4. On Turn 5, it deploys lethal damage multipliers such as Fiery Emancipation, City on Fire, and Unnatural Growth, or evasive threats like Thunderhawk Gunship, scaling combat damage to 24–48+ per turn. Because animated permanents revert to non-creatures on opposing turns, they naturally dodge sorcery-speed creature board wipes.
