Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Golgari graveyard strategy commanded by Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. The game plan revolves around rapidly filling the graveyard through self-mill, dredge, and surveil enablers such as Golgari Grave-Troll, Hermit Druid, and Stitcher's Supplier. As the graveyard expands, creatures with power tied to graveyard size—such as Lord of Extinction, Mortivore, Souls of the Lost, and Splinterfright—grow to massive proportions. The deck leverages these oversized threats in two ways: crashing through blockers with trample enabled by Brawn, or converting their power into direct, unpreventable life loss to all opponents simultaneously using Jarad's activated ability. Powerful card draw engines like Greater Good and Life's Legacy convert high power into massive bursts of fresh resources, while reanimation spells and lands like Shifting Woodland ensure relentless resilience against board wipes and single-target removal.
