Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking leads a Sultai Elf tribal deck that bridges traditional go-wide mana generation with graveyard combo finishes. Thranduil inherits all activated abilities of Elf cards in your graveyard. By utilizing efficient creature tutors such as Buried Alive and Jarad's Orders, the deck deposits Devoted Druid, Greenhilt Trainee, and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord directly into the graveyard. When Thranduil activates, he leverages his base 5 power to repeatedly boost himself with Greenhilt Trainee's ability, untap with Devoted Druid, generate infinite mana, and sacrifice an infinitely large creature to Jarad to drain the entire table. Backing this line is a resilient Elf shell capable of pivoting to overwhelming combat damage with Haunting Voyage, Tyvar, the Pummeler, and Genesis Wave.
