Deck overview

This is a Naya landfall-earthbend deck helmed by Toph, the First Metalbender. Toph makes every nontoken artifact a land, so rocks and value artifacts trigger landfall and can be earthbent into hasty bodies that return from death or exile. Her end-step earthbend 2 steadily turns the mana base into an army. The 99 backs her with landfall engines (Lotus Cobra, Scute Swarm, Moraug, Fury of Akoum, Valakut Exploration), extra earthbenders, and finishers in Triumph of the Hordes and Finale of Devastation. Ashaya, Soul of the Wild and Mycosynth Lattice push the everything-is-a-land plan to its limit. Toph is only three mana and easy to recast, but she is not a tutor or draw engine-the landfall payoffs and combat kills live in the 99. Wins come from chained extra combats or a sudden infect swing, with a recursively earthbent board as the backup.
