Deck overview

This Sultai deck is led by The Wise Mothman and operates as a hybrid +1/+1 counter and mill engine. By accelerating out the commander on Turn 3 via 2-CMC ramp, the deck spreads rad counters to all players on Turn 4. As rad counters trigger on each player's precombat main phase, milled nonland cards trigger Mothman to distribute +1/+1 counters across your board. This rapidly turns your creatures into massive threats while drawing cards through engines like Danny Pink and Fathom Mage. The deck closes games around Turn 7 via overwhelming evasive combat damage—facilitated by Herald of Secret Streams and Rikku, Resourceful Guardian—or through mill burn from Syr Konrad, the Grim and the Bloodchief Ascension + Mindcrank combo. Instant-speed protection spells such as Heroic Intervention and Mutational Advantage safeguard your board investment.
