Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Grixis Villain tribal deck helmed by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria is a discard-and-connive value engine. The primary plan is to flood the board with Villain creatures, use the commander's combat trigger to connive a Villain each turn (drawing then discarding), and leverage a dense suite of "whenever you discard" payoffs-direct damage, tokens, card advantage, and graveyard recursion-to grind out inevitability. Wins come through combat damage from a growing army of Villains, augmented by ping effects like Glint-Horn Buccaneer, Brallin, Skyshark Rider, and Cool but Rude level 2. The deck eschews fast combos for resilient, incremental advantage, with Underworld Breach and Emet-Selch of the Third Seat providing recursive gas. A Windfall alongside Sheoldred, the Apocalypse can close games in a single turn, but the deck primarily aims to out-value three opponents through sustained card flow and creature pressure.
