Deck overview

This Gruul Dragon deck pairs Ganax, Astral Hunter with Acolyte of Bahamut to accelerate high-cost Dragons ahead of curve. The Background in the command zone ensures a persistent two-mana discount on the first Dragon cast each turn, while Ganax converts every Dragon entering the battlefield into Treasure tokens. This mana acceleration enables the deck to chain massive flying threats as early as Turn 4. The deck transitions into a decisive win on Turns 5 and 6 through explosive damage multipliers such as Atarka, World Render, direct damage triggers from Terror of the Peaks and Dragon Tempest, or an infinite combat loop with Aggravated Assault and Savage Ventmaw. Supporting spells like Deflecting Swat, Bolt Bend, and Heroic Intervention shield high-value creatures from disruption, while power-based draw engines keep the hand full.
