Deck overview

This Abzan deck utilizes the partner pairing of Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit and Sam, Loyal Attendant to execute an aggressive Food and lifegain midrange strategy. Sam guarantees a continuous supply of Food tokens at combat while reducing their activation cost to a single mana. Frodo uses the resulting life gain to trigger the Ring tempts you mechanic, turning Frodo into an evasive Ring-bearer that draws cards every turn. The deck converts this engine into a victory by deploying synergistic payoffs such as Treebeard, Gracious Host, Mirkwood Bats, and Assemble the Entmoot. These cards transform token generation and life gain into devastating board buffs, direct life drain, and overwhelming combat attacks. Asymmetric sweepers like The Battle of Bywater protect the deck's smaller Halflings while clearing out opposing blockers. While vulnerable to heavy artifact and creature sweepers, the deck maintains high resilience through redundant token generators and steady card draw.
