Deck overview

This mono-white deck focuses on Cloud, Midgar Mercenary as an aggressive Equipment Voltron commander. Cloud enters for {W}{W} to search the library for any Equipment card, guaranteeing immediate access to the exact tool needed for the current board state. Once equipped, Cloud doubles all triggered abilities originating from himself or attached Equipment. This mechanic supercharges iconic weapons like Sword of Feast and Famine, Buster Sword, and Genji Glove, providing overwhelming card draw, untap triggers, and extra combat phases. The deck supports this aggressive core with abundant free-equip enablers, such as Forge Anew, Sigarda's Aid, and Puresteel Paladin. A dense suite of single-mana protective instants and searchable equipment like Mithril Coat shields Cloud from removal. Opponents are slowed down by light stax pieces including Blind Obedience and Ethersworn Canonist while Cloud swiftly eliminates players through commander damage.
