Saruman, Tasty by MeanSean666

Format: Commander

Commander: Saruman, the White Hand

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Saruman, the White Hand is the engine of a Grixis spellslinger/amass deck. The primary plan is to cast Saruman early, then chain noncreature spells so each one amasses a growing Orc Army, with Harmonic Prodigy, Veyran, and Wizard's Staff multiplying the triggers. The usual finish is Chandra's Ignition on a 40+ power Army to kill all opponents, or Assault on Osgiliath for a double-strike combat swing; Aetherflux Reservoir and Thousand-Year Storm provide a storm-based alternate path. Kess, Dissident Mage acts as a hidden commander for graveyard recursion, while Sauron offers backup amass and card draw. The commander also gives Goblins and Orcs ward 2, protecting the Army.
