Deck overview

This deck is a Sultai graveyard and lands midrange engine commanded by Teval, the Balanced Scale. The game plan revolves around loading the graveyard with lands and high-impact creature threats through dredge, self-mill, and targeted entomb effects. Once Teval attacks, it recovers lands directly from the graveyard to the battlefield while generating a persistent board of 2/2 Zombie Druid tokens whenever cards leave the graveyard. The deck leverages efficient ramp and resource engines like Life from the Loam, The Gitrog Monster, and Insidious Roots to pull ahead in mana velocity and board presence. It closes games around Turn 6 to 7 using mass reanimation spells like Living Death, wide combat overruns with Avenger of Zendikar and Earthshaker Giant, or lethal table-wide life loss by sacrificing Lord of Extinction to Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. While the deck features strong self-recovery and independent Sultai bomb threats, its reliance on the graveyard makes it susceptible to well-timed exile interaction.
