Deck overview

This Azorius deck leverages Bard, King of Dale as an expansive card-draw and token doubler at the top end, while fundamentally operating as a dedicated pillowfort control and combo strategy. The early game focuses on deploying defensive attack taxes such as Ghostly Prison and Propaganda alongside spell restrictions like Deafening Silence and Grand Arbiter Augustin IV. These layers stall aggressive boards and spell-heavy decks, buying time to establish card-flow engines like The One Ring and Rhystic Study. The primary path to victory is the classic Rest in Peace and Helm of Obedience combination, which completely exiles an opponent's library for a single mana activation. Supported by Isochron Scepter loops and Approach of the Second Sun as backup finishers, the deck protects its critical turns with efficient counterspells and phase-out effects.
